  1. People keep asking me, " Amrita ...How do you manage kids, home, job, social interactions all alone? ". Here i have some Pshycological secrets which I have started developing in me 2 yrs back in order to manage my routine with a HEALTHY MIND.
    * LIMITED COMMITMENTS :- Everybody know themselves very well and know their own limitations. Never over-commit. Do that much which you know you can fulfill in TIME.

*DON'T EXPECT MUCH FROM HUSBANDS :- I found this issue a big issue amoung us(Indian women) that "Mera Pati kuch nahi karta". This fact is true to some extend due to old Indian upbringing tradition (where boys meant for studies and job and girls meant for chulha-chauki). So don't expect MUCH.But I have seen that Most of our (referring to indian community) husbands after relocating to any foreign country understand the huge work (home & office) which We do and give respect to it. They try their level best to provide us all the comforts. Some help in kitchen, some in babysitting, some in grocery shopping, some in cleaning, etc n etc , those who don't or rather can't help in these stuffs they provide extra helpers(food home deliveries, nannies, putzfrau, cook) from outside. But in someway or other they understand our problem and help us. Time to time they took us for world tour , so that we can see and feel this Beautiful world and relax from daily chores. They allow us for ladies parties, watching movies with frenz etc n etc. Isnt it enough??? We should feel HAPPY AND SATISFIED and equally give RESPECT to our husbands(not everytime complaining and comparing)

*FEEL HAPPY :- This one is really a secret which I wanna to share today with you all. ;) (although some of you may feel weird) Generally we keep or hang on the walls, the pictures and photos of very successful or famous persons like RN Tagore, Swami Vivekananda, Gandhi ji. Few may be SRK, Hrithik Roahan..etc and etc or read biographies of Nobel Leuriettes or business persons....but I keep/collect pictures of those physically disabled people who inspite of their physical drawbacks, are very successful. I read their biographies. Whenever i am SAD, STRESSED , DE-MORALISED or FELT STRUCK..... i see their pix and read their fights towards their life.
We all are by god's grace physically fit and fine, have loving parents, in-laws, loving husband, lovly kids, nice bunch of friends, good job. Then why we are STRESSED??????????? Who is taking our happiness????? THINK of those who miss any of my above mentioned things.

*NEVER COMPARE:- We all(every individual) born at different places, brought up differently. So definitly our approach towards the life, the way of doing things and seeing the world will be DIFFERENT. Then why 'To Compare???' With whom 'To compare'??? This is a general human pshycology that we always find 'the Food' on other's plate more tastier. But that doesnt mean that we have tasteless stuffs on our plate. If that would the case, then we would have never took it on our plate.... isnt it?????
So whatever you have "Be happy"... whatever you do "feel proud"...

    2. Amrita, very interesting point of view. I totally agree on several points, particularly dont overcommit and filter out unnecessary activities. I would rather engage in something creative than too many weekend parties (again a personal choice), how you spend your 'precious time' shows your priorities.

Few suggestions for good health (I am trying to follow the same):

1.Pranayama (Anulom Vilom) for 10 min. every day or every alternate day:
Try it for one month and check out the benefits yourself. This reduces stress levels. Kapalbhati burns fat. 10 minutes per day only. Here is a link on how to do it:

      2. Eat 1 fruit per day (the Swiss say 5 fruits each day). But start with an apple a day.

Why not try 1 and 2 and then check the benefits after a month?

  2. Health is Wealth, and yet when it comes to health, I have been procrastinating things for a long long time, where is the time? Am I being dramatic or realistic? How do you manage work, home and a health regime?

  3. I think it's our common problem.... We as so busy looking after our office, home, kids, husband that our own health is compromised.
I try to start something new and follow it for couple of weeks. I do not even know when in time it gets lost... But as soon as I realize it start it again.

  4. A few suggestion from my side (or what I do) to maintain good health

Fixed a routine to take something healthy: if you think of taking green tea for example, if you think to take it once a day it's likely that you will forget it but if you fixed a time for it, let's say you have to have it after your lunch then you are more likely to follow it. Same way whenever you are going out take a fruit with you. You won't believe that I always forget to drink water 😒 if I am home. To compensate it whenever I leave home I take a bottle of water with me. If it's in my purse its weight keep reminding me and I end up drinking to reduce the weight. Well something is better than nothing..
Important is we need to understand what works with us and how and simply try to assimilate good habits in our daily routine.

Walk, walk, walk: I believe in walking a lot and whenever I get time I try to walk. If I can manage leaving office little early I try to walk down. If not then I get down a stop before and then walk. Instead of waiting at the tram/bus stop I prefer to walk to the next stop if I have enough time. Walking has amazing benefits.
